Responsibility
1.Industry knowledge and external focus
·Stay up to date with engineering developments and technical trends impacting truck cranes and other mobile cranes.
·Stay up to date with activities and requirements of customers and competitors
2.Engineering
·Develop and ensure implementation new crane product development strategy and planning to achievement of business overall goals and targets.
·Manage new product development projects and ensure that standards of quality, cost and other performance criteria are observed and that time schedules are met.
·Coordinate engineering activities with design team and other partners and ensure exchange of information, concepts, designs, drawings and techniques in the various engineering fields.
·Provide technical sales support for new sales during initial phase of inquiries.
4.Engineering department
·Develop and implement the Engineering organizational structure with clearly understandable systems and processes.
·Ensure the required level of resources to support the Engineering activities and to transform engineering and customer insights into products.
·Provide leadership and set standards, engineering methods, policies and procedures for the Engineering activities.
·Ensure HR strategies, processes and tools are implemented with the support of HR.
· Encourage and support local Engineering team to ensure high performance and compliance with relevant requirements related to:
Understanding customer requirements and preferences
Developing customer value propositions
Project management
Documentation management
·Set key performance Indicators for continuous improvement and support local Engineering team to achieve them
5.HR management
·Apply leadership skills to develop a motivating work culture, encourage productive teamwork and promote a customer friendly, business winning culture.
·Role model the provision of constructive performance feedback and coaching to local Engineering team.
