PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Standardize and continuously improve grinding manufacturing processes and systems to meet increasing customer and internal demand, with key emphasis on quality, cost and delivery.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Generate and maintain documentations of standardized work, quick setup, and operation balance, PFMEA etc. to optimize the productivity, equipment utilization and improve product quality.
2.Select and manage machining tooling, program for new launching products and stabilize the machining process.
3.Ensure accurate BOMs and routings for production in process development phase.
4.Setup, define and maintain process parameters/programs on machines to ensure that the manufacturing process and controls are capable of consistently producing products to meet or exceed customer expectations. Support to maintain fixtures, equipment and machines.
5.Lead or participate in on-line problem solving activities utilizing defined analytical methods. Work closely with Production (management, team leaders, and operators) to identify issues and/or opportunities for improvement proactively, and drive actions to resolve or improve.
6.Lead process changes or introduce engineering changes with the guidance from Product engineering. Support SCM’s components localization activities for cost out.
7.Work closely with Quality on customer quality issues to enable problem resolution and prompt customer response. Communicate with customers as needed to understand issues and explain resolution.
8.Support and/or lead the implementation of ELSS, EHS Directives, EQS, and other EBS initiatives as needed. Coach the operators and other persons needed to deploy ELSS.
9.Evaluate the potential suppliers for equipment and tools. Specify technical requirement, recommend eligible blue print.
10.Evaluate annual expenseand capital projects for normal products. Make sure the expense and capital are under control initiatively.
11.Other functions as needed.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
1.Knowledge of engineering principles,practices and experience of technologies used in company’s products.
2.CNC programming skill on FANUC system.Be familiar with machining tooling and fixture design. Or be able to select the grind wheel and related parameters for the grinding machine.
3.Well understanding and practices of PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plan, SPC.
4.Communication skills.
5.Problem solving skills.
6.MFG/PRO (BOM, Routings in particular).
7.Good written English skill.
8.Computer literacy skills.
9.Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Hydraulic Power.
10. More than5 years working experience in relevant field.
11. Experience in fixture,tooling design and layout design.
12. Good knowledge for the Valve machining process from material to finish good is a plus.
