REQUIREMENTS
Automation / IT engineer degree.
Knows the architecture of IT networks, and server systems (LAN), knows how to implement, to develop and maintain them.
Has the knowledge of automation PLC and robotics, NC systems, PC based automation systems, dimensional measurement equipment, and is capable to bring modifications and improvements on the software programs and hardware of these various machines.
Knowing vision control systems would be assess, and experience with laser marking as-well.
Three to Five years working experiences on a production site, in machining and assembling large series, using highly automated equipment.
Ability to facilitate group work and training
Knowledge and practice of continuous improvement tools (5S, TPM, MSD,)
Fluency in English both in Oral and Writing, French is plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Guarantees troubleshooting and restart of complex machinery
- Performs and supervises interventions of maintenance teams. Uses if necessary troubleshooting equipment related to the level of complexity of the default.
- Learn to use all the resources at his disposal (operators, technicians, workshop maintenance, CMMS work orders history, man / machine interfaces, various embedded diagnostic tools ....)
- Makes the diagnosis of failure and / or malfunction
- Identifies the defective organ and / or failing function or conditions
- Seeks and finds the root cause of the malfunction or failure
- Proposes and follows the eradication of the dysfunction (e.g. modification, preventive action, writing procedures etc. ....) and implement these actions.
- Contacts if needed the subcontractors or suppliers to ensure supply of parts or a service in relation to the failure.
- Prioritizes and organizes the work to be done in accordance with the production responsible.
- Documents and informs about his interventions using all the resources at his disposal.
- Participates in the development of preventive maintenance plans
2. Implements actions to improve the efficiency of production equipment
- Leads and / or participates in continuous improvement teams.
- Proposes and / or conducts studies (definition, design, validation, production start) in his field of expertise and ensure the implementation of adaptations, modifications and upgrades on existing equipment.
- Organizes interventions in accordance with production requirements
- Performs backups in accordance with the procedures
- Ensures updates of technical documents
- Develop tools / features for easy adjustment / verification of embedded devices
3. Involved in defining and starting new production facilities
- Participates in the definition of technical specifications for new equipment
- Participates in project monitoring (attending meetings, technical reviews (internal and external), in commissioning and production start-up.
- Participates in the development of the FMEA workshops, in order to define the preventive maintenance programs, the needed preventive maintenance tools and consumables, and the strategic spare parts.
- Validates the selection of components with the aim to standardize (validation requests for storage) by giving special attention to sustainability, environmental conditions, and high reliability.
- Reviews / validates the technical documentation
4. Participates in the training of production and maintenance teams
- Organizes and participates at trainings.
- Participates in the definition / comments on programs of training provided by external agencies
