1. Supply Chain/Planning – Ensure a steady and consistent flow of raw materials and finished goods in support of the customers’ requirements. Using ERP, KanBan and other LEAN/Six Sigma tools, ensure working capital is well managed while providing excellent customer supply. Oversee the supervision of the warehouse activities to ensure FIFO and other strong inventory management practices are followed.
2. Financial Control – Ensure low numbers on RIP and WIP by strong inventory management. Develop, implement and control spending for Department Expense budget to ensure expected plant efficiencies and financial returns.
3. Control – Utilize recognized processes and procedures to ensure strong financial control and security. Ensure all required regulatory standards and reporting requirements are met.
4. Quality – Identify and eliminate problems before and as they occur using the corporate values of Lean, Six Sigma, Fairness, Customer Concern and Rapid Response.
5. Environment, Health and Safety – Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace which promotes the continued well-being of employees, equipment, facility and community.
6. Supervision – Ensure the local warehousing operations are well supervised and productive. Use Teambuilding, Training, KPI’s, Communication and Problem Solving strategies to ensure a responsible, safe and efficient warehousing organization.
7. Human Resources – Provide training and guidance to operators and other employees impacted by process change to ensure high quality personnel performance and development.
Strategy – Participate with the SPJAG Mangement Team in planning and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure long-term viability of the local and regional corporate entities.
