Role profile contd... Build and develop positive relationships with vendors:
• Find vendors that will consistently satisfy PML requirements
• Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships.
• Perform supplier selection, evaluation and review
• Negotiate prices and supply agreements/contracts
• Undertake costs analysis
Manage the procurement process to ensure product is available for operations promptly:
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure on time supply of product.
• Create quotation requests Review, negotiate and gain appropriate approvals.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and process purchase orders in accordance with procedures.
• Co-ordinate and track purchased items. Chase late deliveries.
• Liaise with accounts to ensure accurate and on time payment of invoices.
• Perform annual stock take/audit
• Complete monthly reporting as required
Ensure quality products are received from vendors:
• Inspect supplied parts during and after manufacture as required.
• Perform root cause analysis of non-compliant parts where necessary, organise appropriate rework and corrective action by suppliers.

Logistics:
• Ensure delivery of product from suppliers is correct and on time

General Procurement Activity:
• Provide support to the wider procurement team as required.

Health and Safety
Ensure Health and Safety matters are understood and complied with for all legislation, regulations and policies.

Experience
3-5 years experience in a procurement role at a similar level
Has developed and managed vendor relationships
Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
Experience in a highly commercial environment
