1. Productivity and Profit   Direct the manufacturing operations efforts to meet customer expectations and plant cost objectives; plan and develop short term and long term actions to improve profitability; develop systems to forecast costs and monitor progress; establish realistic budgets; champion new initiatives to improve methods and procedures, optimize manning, and control costs.

2. Quality and Customers   Promote the PGW Quality Process and apply the principles to daily manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers; initiate procedures and methods consistent with TS16949 requirements and ensure compliance to the standards; focus on ways to increase customer satisfaction of product quality and delivery performance.  Utilize Six-Sigma systems to understand results, design experiments and solve problems.

3. Environment, Health, Safety   Contribute to a safe production facility through support of EHS objectives and compliance to element requirements; promote a safety culture based on the MIP Process; educate the P&M work force and provide regular communications related to EHS elements; comply with applicable local, state and federal regulations.

4. Administrative / Leadership  Build an effective production team committed to organizational goals; empower subordinates to achieve; assign responsibilities and prioritize team objectives; implement effective processes for monitoring progress; build trust and maintain an open and positive environment; understand the issues pertinent to the business and champion change.

5. Human Resources  Provide opportunities for personnel growth in accordance with the plant’s long term goals and initiatives;  value diversity and foster respect and appreciation for each person; utilize modern management concepts to maintain positive relationships with P&M’s which strengthen a unionized environment.

6. Technical Expertise Possess up-to-date knowledge of glass fabrication processes and maintenance processes including 5S, Lean, Six-Sigma and TPM; benchmark performance and capability of sister plants; assess and utilize other expert resources to insure continuous improvement in safety, quality, and manufacturing costs.

7. Personal Growth Seek opportunities to increase knowledge about the business locally and globally; improve leadership skills and technical skills through reading and practice; champion change; work on community issues relevant to the business.
